Mobile Android Serial Items

When a transaction involves a serialized item, a serial number is required for each item in the transaction. The serial number for each item is entered for it at the Enter Serial Numbers form.

• When you enter a serial item in the Item Number field, a Serial Numbers field appears underneath the Qty field.

• This field displays a serial number counter for each item in the transaction. When the field first appears, the counter shows 0 of quantity to show you that you have not entered any serial number yet.

• To enter a serial number for each item, tap the Serial Numbers field to reach the Enter Serial Numbers form.

Enter Serial Numbers Form

1. At this form, enter one serial number at a time in the Serial Number field.

2. Tap the Add button to add it to the item. The Serial Number field clears.
3. The serial number is placed in the detail area of the form. This area also shows the serial number counter. Each time you add a serial number, the counter increments by one.

4. Continue adding a serial number until you reach the total item quantity. You will be able to determine this by watching the serial number counter.
5. Tap the Back Arrow to return to the transaction form.
6. The Serial Numbers field displays the amount of serial numbers added to the item.
7. To complete the transaction, the amount of serial numbers added must equal the item quantity for the transaction.
8. You are returned to Serial Numbers field. The counter shows that each item in the transaction contains a serial number.

Editing a Serial Number

To change a serial number, first delete it, then add another one.

1. Tap in the Serial Numbers field.

2. The Enter Serial Numbers form appears.

3. Select the serial number that you want to edit.
4. The serial number appears in the Serial Number field.

5. Edit the serial number and press the Save button.
6. The serial number is changed.
7. To delete a serial number, select the serial number and press the Edit icon along the top of the form.
8. Tap the Edit icon.
9. Gray check marks appear to the left of each serial number.

10. Select a serial number.
11. The check mark to the left of it becomes green.

12. The icons along the top of the form change to a Delete icon and a Cancel (X) icon.
13. To delete the serial number from the item, select the Delete icon. It is removed from the list of serial numbers. The serial number counter decrements to one less, showing you that the serial number is no longer associated with this item.

14. Add another serial number, or press the Back arrow to return to the transaction form and decrease the quantity to reflect the serial number count.
15. Press Submit to submit the transaction.
